Employment agency process

Post by togeorgemathew » Fri, 20 Jul 2012 2:55 pm

Hi Michelle,

In short the process is:

1. Register a private limited company with employment agency as one of the SSIC activities.
2. Apply for your Employment Pass or Entrepass (assuming you are an expat)
3. Apply for In-Principle Approval(IPA) as an Employment Agency(EA)
4. The IPA will specify amount of deposit needed. This can be covered through full amount or by paying an insurance agency a premium.
5. Go through your training as an EA professional.
6. Request for issuance of EA license number.

The process is quite lengthy and requires a between two-four months(depending on your immigration status).

Foreigner opening employment agency in Singapore

Post by togeorgemathew » Sun, 29 Jul 2012 11:10 am

Hi morenangpinay,

Foreigners can apply for a Employment Agency license as long as they hold a valid work visa. Here is the page on MOM that speaks about it (see Licensing Criteria section)
