eappointment date only available after expiry of old visa

Post by viliyana » Wed, 04 Jul 2012 5:26 pm

1. I receive approval for renewal of LTVP for my spouse today 04/07/12.
2. My old visa expire on 08(this sunday)
3. I receive email from ICA, which first line wrote as
'your visit pass (short term) which is issued on 03/07(yest) has been extended on the same condition to 15/08(till next month) under regulation 12(6) immigration regulations.

The next paragraph state my visit pass(long term) is approved in principle.
4. E-appointment date available earliest is 09/07(next monday), which i've booked as well.

Q: do I still need to make a trip down to ica to stamp my passport for the extension till 15/08? or just wait till monday and bring all thing down together to complete formalities?

I did call ICA, and the officer say no need go down. But just to make sure..

^-^ Viliyana

There is no need to go to ICA and get a stamp, but I'd make sure you have a copy of the e-mail (extending the SVP) kept safe for your records.

Hi, when did u apply for LTVP renew and how long does it take? My spouse's LTVP will expire on 19 Aug. I'm not sure when to apply. Is it too early to apply now?

Hi Streetvendor,

I applied on 18/06. It took almost 3 weeks for me. It may took about 1-2 weeks & up to 6 weeks. Maybe you could start apply next week or the week after, and when you got the approval, then you can choose eappointment date on the 17 or 18 to complete formalities.
