Can I look for jobs if I have an entrepass

I have been studying in Singapore and have done my MBA. I have a friend who wants to start a business in Singapore. He will be investing the the required amount n the business and says he will add me as a director in the company so that I can get an entrepass and says based on that I will be able to look for jobs in Singapore. Is it possible? Can I still look for jobs on an entrepass?

Sounds like fraud to me, too. Besides, you can look for jobs without an Entrepass. And, if you got a job, your new company would need to apply for and obtain a new EP for you. Finally, what makes your friend so certain that you'll get the Entrepass? You need to have related skills and experience to do that... or it's a no go.

Is your friend aware that as an Entrepass holder, you must own 30 percent of the shares in the company? With a S$50,000 minimum start up, that means he puts in the $50K but $15K of the shares must be issued in your name.
