Can a SC+Foreigner buy a HDB resale?Where are the 10 yrs EC?

Post by AJAJ » Mon, 02 Jul 2012 5:21 pm

so i am looking for a place to stay, our family is a SC+FOREIGNER,
are we entitled to HDB resale? and does anyone have a list of all the ECs that are already 10 years old? Just to double check, we would qualify to purchase 10 years old EC right?

No because you aren't married, and he doesn't even live in SG.

Ah, I was replying re: the first part of the question 'eligible for HDB'.

In any case, regarding Executive condominiums I don't see how you pass the 'proper family nucleus' test if you are single. Can anyone elaborate on that?

EC has a different set of rule.

New EC follow HDB rule. Need to be both Singaporean, family nucleus, 5 yrs MOP.
After 5 yrs MOP, EC 1st owner can sell to any person (Singapore / PR) except foreigner (Non-PR) . It work like resale HDB

Once the EC reach its 10 yrs old birthday, it will be classified as private condo. By then you don't need to follow HDB rule. EC owner can sell to anyone include foreigner (non-PR)
