Was the letter for both of them? Why did you apply seperately? I'd wait another 18+ months and then try again. Hopefully your joint income will be at least 10k+/month by then.

I'd wait it out. Why would your MP care? You're not a citizen. Even if you were, it doesn't help.

MP?? Forget about it..For sure they will help you send an appeal letter..They probably have a template for such anyway..

But the best advice that their MPS helpers gave me was to apply 1 year after ROM(We apply 2 months after). The appeal was rejected within 2 weeks and so we decided to wait on what was written in the initial rejection letter("Welcome to apply again after 6 months"). Was approve within 6 weeks after we reapplied..

By the way, i'm a citizen by birth and my wife is a malaysian chinese who has been working here for the past 5 years(At time of application) under WP..

Yup and luckily, if nt our BTO plan have to be put on hold again.

Even the advisor also mention that she has been working here for like 5 years, clean records, from malaysia and chinese..She should get it..The only thing is the duration of marriage.. :D

It's pending. No more, no less. Don't get your hopes up. If you didn't have anything substantial to add to the new application or appeal, the outcome is likely to be exactly the same.

You would think his "Blur-ness" would automatically qualify him for PR wouldn't you!

I don't think SMS question is relevant in this case because they have already granted him PR. If they wanted to "punish" him for not doing NS when his parents are naturalized citizens, surely they would have denied him PR in the first place. But this is not uncommon because a fair number of people also become citizens when their children are grown up. Denying PR for his wife is probably because she hasn't been in this country for long enough. Denying PR to his son would go against the prevailing opinion in this forum that sons are what the Government wants. Perhaps the son's PR is tied to the mum's. Note that he applied for his son's PR before the wife, so it wasn't as if he was trying to hide the son.
