Car was in accident and dealer lied
Car was in accident and dealer lied
So, I bought a car earlier this year and it had a few things wrong with it. Anyway, when I came to sell it recently, I was advised that the car had definitely been in some kind of front accident with quite a bit of damage.
I asked the dealer I bought this off at the time and they said it hadn't been, (Otherwise I wouldn't have bought it, I'm not an idiot!).
Anyway, I've sold it now, so I'm not too bothered, but, I thought it was law to state accidents on a vehicle when asked?
Anyway, personally going to steer clear of such "Expat Special" companies that market themselves as expat specialist and state a load of services they offer. It was mainly BS!
Anyone who wants to buy a car, steer clear of the companies with Expat in the name!

A standard type of behavior from any scam-like company. Could be probably used as a determinant.nutnut wrote:a few grand, but when I contacted them to tell them (as a FYI, I can't be bothered with a fight to be honest) they immediately responded from their solicitors saying they never told me!

I don't think there is any law making them reveal this kind of info "spontaneously". That's why the standard practice is to go for the evaluation that costs you ~130 instead of few grands.
