Hi Guys
I noticed that in many other similar forums there are trackers which help prospective applicants to gauge what the situation is as far as their application is considered. It also gives a wealth of information.
Since I have not seen a Singapore PR application tracker in any other forums, I thought I will use this forum to start one.
Since I dont have the permission to setup a tracker table, I do request the Moderator if he could help setup something with column headings similar to what is listed below. Also it would help if forum members could edit the table as and when they have new updates.
Please feel free to update this table, by inputting your data as and when you apply and post it back to this thread. Also please do suggest any other column headings which you think would be helpful.
- Nickname
PR application attempt No
EP type
Profession & Company Sector
Main applicant Age
Race
No of applicants
Years in Singapore prior to application
PR Appointment date
PR Approved date
PR Rejected Date
Comments specific to the application/ If rejected what was stated in letter
Any Other documentation which aided in your application

Oh, crap. Another one who thinks they can find a trend so as to figure out a way to tailor make their applications. Give it up dude. It ain't gonna happen. Do you have a masters as well? Because you all sound like you were all cut from the same sheet of cardboard.

How about adding:
- Masters
- Prestigious university
- Whole family back home waiting to come too
- Need PR urgently to feel able to settle down
- Don't meet any of ICA's stated criteria
- Applied 5 times already
- Infant son excluded from application, (it's his choice later nothing to do with avoiding NS)
- Believe ICA won't notice why we left off infant son

I'd also add
- Number of months worked in Singapore (not years, that would mean actually waiting a decent amount of time before applying)
- Other countries where PR also applied for or obtained (Australia, Canada, NZ etc...)

What would happen then is this forum would be filled with posts about application updates. It will bury other posts and narrow this forum from having useful information about living in Singapore to full of posts if people think they will have their PR application approved.
We don't want that because that will only appeal to a smaller target audience.

OP, trust me, we already had have enough forums out there with such tracker method like expatforum.com where it is littered by certain groups of people trying to get into Australia, USA etc and they have it all over their signatures.
Makes very messy and it undermines the purposes of forums.
I suggest you initiate it at expatforum.com instead (under Singapore) as it is already very rampant there. And a large group of us already left that forum long time ago, leaving our outdated wealth of information behind (buried at the bottom by 'How to tailor-make our PR/green card application to Singapore/Australia/NZ/UK/USA?' threads).

Actually, her situation is different from the run of the mill applicant that we've been seeing for the past two years. Therefore even a tracker with all the info she wants to see included wouldn't help here at all. She needs to do exactly as she's already been told to do in another thread, that's all. Then patiently wait.

Even without this Tracker thing, it seems recently that the number of posts re: PR/citizenship has gone up significantly.

Perhaps we should set up a Tracker for the number of 'What are my chances?' questions being asked.

Frankly, I'm tempted to add something that tracks "posts about asking PR/citizenship chances versus everything else."

I think the term for that is "Drowning men clutching at straws"?
