My company has a programme where you can effectively take some time off work for a year or so but are still techincally employed by the company and with an employment pass although you are not paid during this time. People choose to do this for various reasons and i was plannig to do some charity work and some travel. my question is if i leave singapore and live in thailand for a year and/or travel is there a requirement for me to spend any time in singapore suring that year ?
My plan would then be to return to Singapore and bengin working for my company again
