PEP and Last Salary

Post by YankStuckinSuiss » Mon, 18 Jun 2012 7:27 pm

Quick question. I looked around for this, but didn't see anything specific in regard to PEP. If you are are here on a PEP and you switch jobs, is it possible for the company you are moving to to know your last salary? I know how they would know this when they take over other types of work visa, but PEP is a bit different.

Only if you tell them or they require you last pay voucher (lots do). You either give it to them or look elsewhere. It's not like the US here.

Most firms, whether an established one or just a body-shopping one, would require the details of your last drawn salary. It is in fact a determinant of your salary at the new firm. I'm yet to come across a firm which does not seek this information from new recruits.
