Setting up as a sole trader

Post by pupsiecola » Thu, 14 Jun 2012 6:55 am

Hi all,

We're moving to Singapore next Thursday. My husband has a 2 year Visa and the kids and I have Dependant Passes.

I set up my own company here in the UK in February as a sole trader. It's been growing nicely and I want to set it up in Singapore as I think it could be equally as successful (can't run it in the UK remotely). From what I've just read I can work in Singapore so long as my employer gives permission. But I can't find information re setting up on my own as a sole trader equivalent?

Any help would be very much appreciated. I confess I only spent about 10 minutes looking. Having only decided to move to Singapore 2 months ago things have been rather hectic!

Thanks all,

K

Do searches for additional info. It can be done. It might not be easy depending upon what it is you want to do.
