Does anyone know of stores that stock embroidery/needlepoint/crochet/ tatting/knitting supplies and patterns? beads/sequins and other related stuff is an added bonus.
Avid embroidery enthusiasts are visiting and they would like to discover new techniques and materials available in this part of the world. I have not seen anything close to what I am looking for in my 7+ months in Singapore but I am pretty sure there are some absolute treasures tucked in some corner. Please help

So far the only place I can think of is Spotlight at Plaza Singapura.

It's not an incredibly diverse variety, but you can find a bit of everything you've mentioned at Spotlight (5th floor Plaza Singapura). Beads and sequins you can get on Arab St., there are several shops, you just have to walk up and down and poke your nose in each. Surprisingly Daiso has a few things too. Not high quality, but for $2 each you might grab a few things that you wouldn't want to spend big bucks on.
Edit to add: I just remembered there's a kiosk that sells a variety of cross-stitch patterns on the third floor of the recently opened JCube. It's right next to the escalator outside Chilis I believe. I haven't looked closely to see if there's anything of value there, but it's the most I've seen in one place here.

Thanks folks!
I have checked out Daiso - it is ok for craft projects but not the serious embroidery (they churn out designer wear) the visitors are looking for
I have heard about spotlight and will be visiting this weekend.
@PoodleK - any more insights into the places on Arab Street - they sound like the kind of place I am looking for
Another source I have found is Golden Dragon in Chinatown. I am yet to visit them but their website looks promising. I will have an update this weekend.

Just wanted to post an update for anyone looking for information about embroidery supplies in Singapore
- Golden Dragon, People's Park Centre, Chinatown - Great for knitting and crochet enthusiasts - classes are also conducted. Good selection of needles and other related material. Also has fabric. Embroidery supplies are available (Frames, cross-stitch kits and fabric, floss, needles etc.) - typically pricier than the US. A lot of crafting items are also available.
People's Park Centre also has quite a few beading shops (I spotted 3) and has a good collection of beads and sequins and jewellery making items.
- Spotlight, Plaza Singapura - More like Hobby Lobby and Michaels in the US. Has everything for crafting, kids costume parties, home furnishing, baking etc. They have a good paper crafting section and a big selection of fabrics.
Did I find what I was looking for? NO Couple of issues I faced - most of the stuff are from the US and are over-priced. Secondly, I was looking for more uniquely Asian techniques and fabrics and could not find them.
The search continues. Thanks for helping me
