I have read that from 1998, Singapore has this new PR 6 points system selection based on
a) Type of work pass – I guess the preference goes P1 ,P2 and then Q
b) Duration of stay in Singapore
c) Academic qualification – any preference to local Universities?
d) Basic monthly salary
e) Age – what is the preferred age range?
f) Kinship ties in Singapore
g) race – I added this
Does anyone know what the weightage for each of the above is and do they really follow this?
The last point was added by me based on the information I got in another thread. Basically Singapore wants to balance the ethnic ratio to what it was previously. So if you ethnicity is at a higher ratio currently, there is less chances.
