Does anyone know how long it is currently taking to get an Employment Pass?
The company that has offered me a job applied for a pass back in Oct and then the MoM wanted additional info from the comapny such as audited accounts, contract of employment and sponsorship letter and this was on 26 Oct, since then neither I or the company have heard anything, although the company informs me that they are phoning the 'hot line' on a regular basis for information but to no avail.
What should I do?? My removal from the UK is booked for 20th Dec and flights for 23rd Dec. Should i just arrive and re-apply??
Your wise advice please!!!!

To be honest if it's taking this long, I would stay put. We moved out 3 years ago but, at the time, they only took a couple of weeks. We came in on an Approval in Principle letter and the EP followed soon after.
I do know somebody (professional - financial sector) that moved over here on a visitor's pass thinking they would soon get their EP, it was never granted and they had to leave the country.

Check the status of your application with MOM directly. There have been cases where companies never even file the EP for you, because they want to string you along on a tourist visa and dump your sorry ass with no pay.

I have checked the Eponline Enquiry service but all it says is that the application is 'Pending'.
It has been pending since 26 Oct!!!
Will be in Sg from next Friday so maybe a personal visit might help?
