Post by Poc4hontas » Tue, 05 Jun 2012 4:35 pm

Peeps

After the brunch session at Marmalade Pantry located at Bukit Timah saddle club last week, we are inspired by 'back to nature ' and decide to go for a trek !

The trail will starts at Bukit Timah and ends at MacRitchie. Its the total of approximate 4.8 kms (so I am told ) and perhaps lunch after burning few cals

Date : 24 June 2012 , Sunday

Time : 8 AM

Meeting point : Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Park Visitor Centre

Peeps

Got the info that the trek can be done starting from Rifle Range Trail from Bukit Timah Hill.

We can do it from the old train track or we can walk from Bukit Timah hill to Catchment Path , both way lead and connect to Riffle Range Road.

Its probably going to be around 16kms which will take at least 6 hours ( Vshsinga is right ! )

Bring along your trekking necessity and stay hydrated !

Most important thing, rest well the day before.

See you all on 24 June !

cheers

good luck with the trek, if you think it's 6 hrs, it'd prob take longer with the small breaks in between, = 8hrs. you'd need lotsa water in our hot humid climate, and probably lunch to refuel.

even i got kinda lost in macritchie the first time cos we missed a sign, best to have an experienced trekker, else bring some change, in case the trek takes too long, then walk to some main road and grab a bus back. but have fun though.
