So at what stage are you at now?
- Signed the LOI and handed over a deposit.
- Owner has signed the LOI too.
(At this point, the landlord can hold on to your 'goodwill deposit')
The next step is to agree on the Tenancy Agreement (TA).
If this is not done yet, u may have a way out, and may even get all your money back. I also agree with everyone, report the agent to CEA!! That person ruined the work of many gd agents out there...

Recently CEA is trying to make examples out of all these dodgy property agents which is a good thing for you. They will not hesitate to prosecute her and get you out of this mess.

You should file your complaint ASAP following these information:

Thank you all for your advise, I really appreciated it :)

I have continue ignoring the agent & it's has been weeks since the last time I hear from them so I guess they have decided to leave me alone or maybe they also heard about the CEA trying to show an example like what Eway said & decided to stay low...? But I hope they continue to leave me alone.

I'm thinking of maybe just write to the CEA about my story for their records just in case this happen to someone else again & at least my story can back them up.

Hopefully with the CEA of their case at the moment, they will behave!! :)

When you are reporting, you can include her name and license number.
It can be found easily in CEA website, you can narrow it if you remember the Agency name.
