One North Residences

Post by saudade » Wed, 30 May 2012 6:02 pm

Hi there!

I've been looking at properties online for MONTHS now and I came across a condo that really caught my eye: ONE NORTH RESIDENCES

Does anyone know this condo? It's close to INSEAD, Buona Vista, Rochester Mall... and right in front of the One North Park, which apparentely also has a playground.

I have a 2-year old son who will be attending the German European School in Bukit Timah... but only twice a week, so I am willing to commute on those days but enjoy the advantages of a nice location on the other days.

Any feedback on whether this is a wise choice?

Thanks!!

Public transport connections aren't very good from One North to GESS:
45min bus to Jln. Jurong Kechil campus, and no public transport access at all to Bt. Tinggi campus - you'll need a car to get there. (Both campuses are in Bt. Timah area.)

One North

...yes, unfortunately that is what I also found out on www.gothere.sg... what about taxi? 30 minutes? since it's just twice a week, it would be a compromise.
Otherwise I would tend to either Wilby Serviced Apartments or Glentrees condo. But there is NOTHING around those two:-/
What about the One North condo itself? Any experiences? It looks really nice! There are also some cafes / shops, right? I really like that!

Thanx!

How about Sixth Ave Residences? Just further south from the school and - so my relocation expert [husband] tells me - coffee shops & supermarket right at the top of the street.

Another poster on here as just signed up, she has a five-year-old, I believe. Sounded lovely, from what she said.

That is very interesting! Sixth Avenue is on my list too... I have checked so many condos near Bukit Timah that I already have a Top 5 ;-)
Thank you for this positive information, I will definitely check it on site when we move.

One North

Hi there I've got 2 friends currently renting a penthouse at one-north. I think it's a great place, recently the circle line for One North is up and running and it's less than 5 min walk from One-North. However to take a bus you will break a sweat getting to the bus station. Usually when my friends want to hit town at night they'll just grab a cab, IMO not too far from everything.

The facilities are pretty decent, your full size swimming pool ground level and also Jacuzzi and additional pool on the roof top. With BBQ pit by the pool and a meeting room for your parties. There's also your standard gym too.

Best thing about it is the serenity, it's really quiet and peaceful at night which appeals to me the most. Or maybe it's because my friends got the penthouse unit so it's got less interference from neighbours.

Hope this helps!

Means you can ignore what eway says as he is a spammer (a real estate agent) positioning himself before trying to sell you something.

Except, he got nipped in the bud...

lol.

I do have 2 friends living up at One North sharing a penthouse and I described a genuine portray of the area of how I see it. I have enjoyed visiting my friends there. Maybe more enjoyable due to their company. So I wasn't pitching anything.

Well yes thanks for exposing my identity, however I am not certified agent just passed my RES and hasn't signed up with any agency to practice. So just here to do some research and view some common enquiries people have to help situations when I start to practice.

Hooray exposure!

I mean comon dude so far I can see lots of people in this forum with suspiciously good knowledge on Singapore property market and regulations LOL!

Perhaps you can advise me too?

No stress

Dear Eway and dear moderator,

please there is no need to argue or get stressed over this...

I than Eway for his replies, which have not changed my point of view because I am already listing all the condos I like anyway.

From what I have seen, One North really matches a lot of my criteria.

So everything is ok!

Cheers and cease the day :)

No, everything is NOT okay. We do not allow real estate solicitation on this site. If you have lurked here long enough you will know that we run a tight ship against solicitation & advertisers.

I am sure you know what to do there...

I have been around for some time, yes. I really enjoy this forum except for this kind of awkward situations.

Have a good day!

I don't think you should find it awkward, it is simply a fact of life on internet forums.

The vast majority of the moderation goes on silently behind the scenes. You find the forum a quiet and constructive place, without having to see any of the dark side.

Sometimes though, publicly sending a warning shot to another user has it's wider purposes. It's not done for fun or to create antagonism.

Put your faith in the Mods doing what is right for the forum eh? :)
