On the contrary, I saw a store selling Apple products with slashed prices for GSS.

Funan DigitaLife Mall near City Hall. Look for a shop called PCPro at 3rd floor (or 4th? I'm not sure).

Well, yes.

When they release the new shiny toys made in China. Designed in California. For example, I see iPhone4s prices going down when the iPhone5 (or "The New iPhone") comes out.
