Is someone deleting a post in this forum?

Post by sue_singsing » Tue, 29 May 2012 12:06 pm

I just realised that my own posting at 10:28am SGT today was deleted.
(about the last cleaning session wrecked my home..)

As far as the content goes, I just complained about the cleaning company without telling the company name.

Anyone had the same experience? :???:

Turning up as a newbie to dynamite a company, on your first post, is likely to have you moderated.

Think about it. If slagging off other companies thus was allowed forums would be inundated with commercial rivalries working out their vendettas under the guises of dissatisfied customers.

p.s. Tip: how about starting here by contributing something constructive or positive?

@JR8
I do not believe in a world of newbies to be "behave" when it comes to the posting in this forum. If you have read my original post (which I highly doubt), it was information to share with other people how a cleaning company can turn down customers when they provide the last session upon the contract expiration. I was not an active posting member but an heavy reader here (without register), so I do know what I am writing here. Thanks!

If this forum is to provide information about which helper is good and which one can be 'shared' (and someone can announce here in this forum as black and white), I would apology for disturbing the "peace" of this forum. But, otherwise, I am just angry about my posting being deleted without any prior notice only because this posting possibly 'pissed off' the person who has the admin right (and possibly working for the company I have mentioned even though I did not???).

@The Person Who Deleted My Original Post
If you do not know how to practice your admin right on deleting a post without original poster's acknowledgement, shame on you having the admin right.
(If this agitates you, are you going to practice your admin right once again? ) :lol:

I don't know who deleted your original post, but I can tell you one thing. Had you written with the attitude you have displayed in your current post, I would have deleted it.

As a matter of record, we do not, have not, and will not "advise" when we delete/moderate a post. We have always maintained that right since the inception of this board and will continue to do so. If you don't like it, well, you are welcome to go to the Angry Board or elsewhere and see how far it flies there.

@sundaymorningstaple

Okay, the policy is 'no prior advice' before deleting/moderating a post. Since you mentioned it, I have no further point to argue with that regardless of my disappointment on the policy.

Obviously, I did not write the original post with the tone that I wrote above. (It might sound a bit strong but not offensive since I was quite disappointed of the service.) The whole purpose of the original posting was to share my experience so that people do not get a poor service from cleaning companies.

Anyway, the posting is gone, I know how it is being deleted with accordance to the policy. Done.

You sound very disappointed ..

well, there are things called "FORUM RULES" .. some forums frown on some stuff and others, on other stuff.

Like say, you got to a forum hosted by a computer company and try to promote your own ?

And as per Singapore law, the forum hosts cannot slip away for posts made on the forum, if I recall correctly

The forum admins have to face the music, or part of the music, for not keeping the house clean.

Hope this clears it up ..
