Cheap shopping????

Post by Grace645 » Tue, 22 May 2012 11:16 am

Hi, i'm going to Singapore from Aus soon and every time i've gone so far i've been shopping at all the large shopping centres and have really struggled finding cheap clothing. I was wondering if anyone knew of some more unknown shopping places for clothes, i've heard far east plaza is good but i haven't been there yet.

thanks:)

Yes Far East Plaza is good. You should try Bugis market too. It is opposite Bugis Junction after you exit Bugis MRT station at the bottom.

If you are not looking for branded goods, go to City Plaza.

Far East & Bugis Street is definitely way up there. Some housing estates have little shops too. But those two are the first things to come to mind, my usual haunts esp when I was younger and on a super tight budget.

If u are into cutesy things, online shopping is also a gd way to go. Blogshops are super popular here so u can get loads online. Shipping can be free too -- varies from shop to shop. I say cutesy because they tend to sell girly dolly type things and in fairly small sizes (too small for me). It's that Asian cute girl ideal they are going for with pretty accessories and babydoll dresses. Japanese and Korean fashion is also huge in Singaporeso the online stores stock up.

If you're not into that some of the big retailers have online stores too and because singapore is small mailing is pretty fast. Price wise, the smaller shops will prob give u bigger discounts.
