LTVP IPA letter sent by post

Post by nishikana » Mon, 21 May 2012 8:06 pm

I finished my undergraduate study here in Singapore last year, and came back to look for jobs last month on SVP. Due to some system error I wasn't able to use the LTVP e-service online, so I submitted my application manually over the ICA counter, which means that I will receive my IPA letter by post (and no electronic version) once approved.

I'm leaving Singapore by end of this month (probably away for around 3 months) and I hope to get my pass this week. I called ICA and confirmed that my application has just been approved this morning and I'll just have to wait for my IPA letter to arrive by post.

My problem is, I've made an appointment to complete formalities (i.e. getting my LTVP card) on this coming Thursday, and I'm worried that I may not have received my IPA letter by then. In that case, can I just request a new copy of my IPA letter at the ICA counter, on the day of the appointment? I posed this question to an ICA officer by phone but she simply asked me to wait for my letter.

This is kind of last minute and any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
