SPR application for Caucasian family

Postby Snowbubbles » Wed, 16 May 2012 9:28 am

Hi All,

Appointment for SPR application for the family had been made by my Professor. However, he just found out that his 18 year old daughter will be overseas (along with her passport) during that period of time and hence would not be present on the day of appointment.

Will her absence be detrimental to my Professor's PR application?

Anyways, i've called ICA. The officer mentioned that only the main applicant need to be present, and to bring along original documents and 1 set of photocopy. Family need not be present. As to the daughter's original passport, my Professor just need to mention that she is travelling.

However, for completion of SPR formalities, the entire family needs to be present for thumbprinting and acknowledgement of details for blue IC.

Er, I'm a bit confused. What is your relationship with the Professor?

Anyway, the information you were given by the ICA tallies exactly with what I found out when I did my PR application last year. So this post will serve as a potentially useful reference for future applicants.
Be careful what you wish for

Hi Mi Amigo,

I am assisting my Professor in the collation of his documents for his SPR application :)
