Apply for SPR/ LTVP??

Post by leelivio » Tue, 15 May 2012 4:20 pm

Howdy everyone,

First post here, hope can have your sharing with me.

I'm from Hong Kong and going to apply for SPR with my Singaporean wife as sponsor, any similar case if it is possible to get approval? or it's better to apply LTVP? as i jz married with my wife couple months.

Besides, I obtained my BA degree in UK, I hope to seek a human resources job in Singapore, any advice? if i dun have any visit pass yet, which way is better - STVP? LTVP? SPR?

Many thanks.

You are unlikely to get a PR unless you're married to a Singaporean for a few years and lived here for some time. You can get an LTVP or LTVP+ if your wife earns at least S$2800/month. You cannot work with an LTVP, but you might qualify for an EP on your own merits if you find a job.

Yes, LTVP or SVP would work for that purpose.
SVP is limited to 1 - 3 months (are you sure to find a job in that time?) and LTVP requires your wife to have sufficient income to support you.

OP - the main thing income of your wife for LTVP, you can apply that if lucky you may be granted LTVP+ (for 3 years + allow to work).

Are you in SG this time?

Do you have any job experience?

What is your race? all these things matter...... in LTVP+

You cannot work on an LTVP.
The new LTVP+ allows work (similar to a DP). I am not sure if you can get one, but assume not.
To get a PR, you need to live here for 2-3 years first.

Doubtful. Why would they give an unemployed person permanent residence?
