PR appeal

Post by anir_c » Mon, 14 May 2012 7:45 pm

Hi,
need urgent expert advice!!
I am staying in SG since March 2010 with P1 pass initially and later with PEP. My wife joined me here in Aug 2010 and she had a P2 pass initially, but later she left job be bring up our baby boy and since March 2011 she is on DP.
We applied for PR in Oct 2010 just after my family joined me and it got rejected. We appealed in aug 2011 and since then the status is "Pending".
I changed my employer(Now an Indian IT Giant) in Jan 2012 and now got a letter from ICA to get my new employer fill up Annex A and my HR dennied to fill up the same. I tried to convince it is not for sponsorship but they are too adament.
Plz advice how to make my appeal stronger in this situation.
Thanks,
neer

It sounds like, in your haste, you have been hoist. By your own petard, that is. For something as important and as delicate as getting PR is today, one would have thought that the applicant would have thought things through at the time of the interview, especially concerning a pending PR application. You may well have given them the only reason they need to reject you. Unless you have something else really astounding, I don't have a good feeling about it.

I am no SG immigration expert, but understand US immigration very well and immigration in general.

Arrived in Mar 2010 and PR application in Oct 2010, that seems just too quick for the liking of ICA. This coupled with Indian Citizenship (just my assumption, correct me if I am wrong) doesn't sound great.

You got a letter from ICA asking for HR of your employer to fill up the annex was actually a good news, but HR saying NO for it may very well be fatal.

I can't be sure but since the time major Indian have been accused of visa frauds in the US, I have heard them changing a lot in HR policies related to immigration world wide.

In your case, my suggestion would be to talk to more people at your workplace like your supervisor, head of HR etc

Since when the annex for employers is for sponsorship?

Anyway my friend, so sorry to say this but you should have planned properly when you're doing all this application. ICA is having second thoughts about your application and your HR is being suspicious - these two are fatal blows.

I suggest you hold on and stay where you are and be patient before trying again.
