Question regarding conversion LPR to full PR

Postby sinogunner » Mon, 14 May 2012 6:31 pm

Hi, everyone. I currently hold Landed PR, ICA requires me to take full time job in order to convert LPR to full PR status. I managed to find a job last week, does anyone know how long does conversion process take? thanks

It can take up to three months.. But usually less. They will automatically stamp your passport (or give you an EP card if they no longer stamp passports) valid for three months to enable you to start working immediately. It's a seamless procedure. All you need is your appointment letter from the employer, your LPR paperwork and just follow the directions and you'll be right.
