Office at City Hall...where to rent a flat/condo?

Post by moving2singapore » Thu, 10 May 2012 1:39 am

Hi there..I will be moving to Singapore in June'12, office is at City Hall. I am single and am looking for a 1 bedroom flat/condo, also open to the idea of sharing flat with an expat. :

1. Close to MRT; I will be using public transport only
2. Close to a market complex, since i will be eating out mostly
3. Not more than 30 mins travel to office; looking not beyond Ang Mo Kio on one side and Clementi on the other. Max budget SGD 1500 pm including maintainence charges for common facilities like gym, etc.
4. What is that i will find in Clementi zone and not in Ang Mo Kio and vice versa...i mean on what basis to chose between east of City Hall or west of City Hall?

Please suggest.

Thanks in advance.

Yup sharing is very highly probable in your case.

Nothing much different actually (by the way AMK is at north of City Hall) :P Both directions are equally crowded during peak hours towards City Hall. Both have fair distance/accessibility to watering hole (Holland Village/Bukit Timah for Clementi, and Upp Thomson Road/Orchard for AMK).

Please suggest.

Your possibility is very wide here. You may start using the Room Rental section of this website (it is hosted by real estate agency anyway). Come back after you have narrowed down and have more specific questions so that we can help.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know, but even in your 2nd post you did leave one there either. Did you disable BB Code?

No I didn't SMS. Has always been disabled. Doesn't make sense to me... The only change I have made (that I remembered of) is that I updated few things to my Windows this morning.

Sorry OP, deviated your thread a little bit. Trying to prevent from unintentionally spamming the board with my posts.

Easy roommates are great to have. Sometimes they can turn into FB's if you can find one of the opposite sex (or same if you fly that way.....)
