Hi Everyone,

Does any one knows what it means when employment pass application status is Pending, is any there documents missing and because of that your application status is pending or it means the application is in Process.

It means you are not yet approved. It could be pending anything unanswered (in their minds) on your application or the employer. :-|

Processing is taking place from the moment you submit it until it's either approved or rejected. Big difference.

pend·ing/ˈpendiNG/
Adjective:
Awaiting decision or settlement.
Preposition:
Until (something) happens or takes place: "they were released on bail pending an appeal".

Out of interest, does anyone know what the average processing time is (given they have every document/information they need) for a manual EP submission at the moment? I've read 3-4 weeks, 5 weeks, and in some cases 8 weeks?

Or is it just a case of how long is a piece of string?

Exactly.

My EP took about 48 hours, and I've heard of same day approvals.

Manual can take a while. It firstly has to get physically delivered to the MOM, then prioritised and manually entered on their system. Then it follows the usual route of going to a case officer for a decision.

It can take between 4 weeks to 12 weeks. I've seen both extremes.

Mine went from Pending to Approved this morning, I'm so happy! It shows date sent as 25th April, so basically 3 weeks!

Thank you Singapore! :D
