dismissal

Post by disappointed » Mon, 07 May 2012 11:09 am

i was dismiss end of april due to absent 1 day ( i got mc but not from panel clinic ) and missing in action few times and during that time they caught me on personal handphone call.
they also keep delaying my salary with reason the director hasn't sign the cheque. its more than a week. No official letter on my dismissal etc were given - only verbal.
what should i do. can i also check with MOM what they write on my records and will it affect my future career.

You should like you are a local. Foreigners have a better work ethic generally and normally don't "go missing" a couple of days. This is pretty normal for locals though. How long have you been working with the company?

If they gave you notice at the end of the month, they you should be paid no later than by the end of today. If not? Go MOM and lodge a complaint.

OP is not a local base on his early topic

http://forum.singaporeexpats.com/sutra5 ... ht=#581863

SMS, he is the one or company that playing hide and seek with AVA.

and to OP,
In your early thread topic, you mention your boss suspend you 3 days for not follow his instruction on process the meat, etc.

Now you say suspect due to MIA for a day.

Your story don't inline.

I didn't have time to crap today. No time to do research either. Had to get out and down to the TB centre on Moulmein Road. Had to go last friday to get a job (test) as we had a guy who resigned last month (been with us a couple of years saving to go to Uni) and the he turns up with Active TB. About a third of the office have indications of latent TB so are on 6 month meds and another appointment in June. I lucked out this afternoon with a clear xray. Although I've been given a full discharge they said they will run the xray by another doctor for the requisite 2nd opinion but if I haven't heard anything in two weeks don't worry about.
