Post by alactog » Sun, 06 May 2012 6:16 pm

Hi All,

I am from Chennai,India and I have got an offer for S$90K per annum+benefits. I have a total experience of 12 years in Sales and Marketing, i have a honours degree in Biology from Madras University and all my twelve years I have worked with very reputed companies ranging from Glaxo Smithkline to Citibank. I am currently working with Citibank in chennai, India.

My singapore employer has applied for EP on 2nd of May 2012, now as the saying goes I have become little curious and i want to know from the forum what time does it take to know the results of EP application and what are my chances of getting EP?

A couple of days to a couple of weeks or more. How long is a piece of string?

Qualification wise, you are okay. Whether the Company in Singapore can justify hiring a foreigner or not it another. Only time will tell. Even though your qualifications are sufficient, it doesn't mean you will automatically receive an EP. Your qualifications only make up one part of the equation so they are used only to qualify your application for submission, not necessarily acceptance for approval.

Can you explain that in proper English please? I think you're missing key words or phrases here.
