Get-togethers for school-aged kids?

I am an expat homeschooling two girls who will turn 7 and 11 this summer. We are interested in meeting other families for friendship and fun.

We are located in the center of the island, near Bishan Park (or a long walk to Macritchie Resevoir Park).

Anyone up for an outing, or just an afternoon of coffee and play at our house?
