Cancelling PR - out of Singapore

Post by am.i.evil » Wed, 25 Apr 2012 10:44 am

Hello, good day.

Been browsing topics pertaining to cancellation of PR status but I have been unlucky to find one which deals with cancellation if you're no longer in Singapore.

Hoping someone could point us to the right direction.

My husband started working in SG since 1997, I think he got his PR status in 2002. We met in 2007, got married in 2011, applied for a long term visit pass for me 9 times, all rejected, no reason/s given. He even made an appeal to ICA.

With this reason, we had to leave SG for KL. We have to be as close to SG as we can because his daughters from his first marriage are staying with his wife is SG.

Apologies for all the babbling, I just want you guys to know that we are not one of those 'scammers' who wants their PR cancelled just so they can take their CPF out of SG.

Our questions are :

How do we proceed to the cancellation of my husband's PR from KL, is it possible to send the documents via post ?

For the withdrawal of his CPF, we've read that if you are residing in West Malaysia, it wont be possible ? Does this apply to angmoh's too who are in work visa permit to stay in West Malaysia ?

Will the cancellation of my husband's PR affect any future plans of visiting SG to see his daughters there ?

Thank you very much in advance for any help you could give us.

You can do it from SG Embassy in KL but all process application will go back to ICA SG. It will be better to fly over and get it over and done with at SG ICA

No, for PR holders, go back surrender PRship . Get a letter stating to that effect from ICA. Go to CPF building and fill in application for withdrawal. Bring along POSB book as it does not need any authentication from CPF board. Or any bank book but original statement of authenticate account holder of the said person from bank and shebang. One hour max.

No, unless your hubby is a criminal or irks SG Gahmen before

Thank you very much in advance for any help you could give us.
