EntrePass rejected, convert to DP, working for own company

Post by mauss » Tue, 24 Apr 2012 8:35 pm

Here is the description of the situation, maybe someone can help with some advice.
I came here with my husband on an EntrePass (2008). My husband very quickly got a job here in Sinagpore and converted to the EP (P1). He just now got an extension of his contract for another 5 years.
I stayed on the EntrePass. In 2009, we converted our Pte Ltd to LLP. I am a free lance SharePoint consultant, and up to now, it worked out well for us. I was doing consulting for my European customers and sort of "generating" the money for our partnership (my husband is still the partner in the LLP, and I am partner and local manager). The EntrePass got renewed 2 times (although the LLP certainly did not meet the criteria of "generating employment" - we did not hire anyone and are not intending to do so either).
This time, I am afraid that it won't get renewed (waiting for 6 and a half weeks already).
Now the question is if I can get a DP visa through my husband's company (there is no problem with that), stay the local manager of our LLP, apply for LOC from MOM and continue working the same way I have been doing it for years. On this forum, I found some info as to the sole propriatorship but nothing about LLP.
Any advise for me?

Yes with a Letter of Consent from MOM.
