IT - Software development job-opportunities in Singapore?

Dear all,

I'm a senior IT-software developer in Java and Oracle technology. I am considering moving from the netherlands to Singapore (to live with my Singaporean girlfriend).
After searching on the internet I still cannot estimate whether software development, consultancy and IT in general and Java/Oracle development in specific is big business in Singapore or maybe not. I have 2 questions:

-Are there many software development job-opportunities in Singapore (or not?)
-If yes, in which software technology area are jobs available (Java, .NET, Oracle, database, SOA, web or mobile development )?

1) Yes there are many
2) All of the above.

The unasked question though is "How much do these positions pay?" Probably a lot less than you're expecting, as junior and mid-level developers are a dime a dozen from Indian and make about the same or even less than a friend of mine makes in NL selling bubble tea. (~2k euro/month)

The exception is if you're Sr. level with a rockstar resume, and can convince someone of this. I'd suggest focusing on major MNCs and banks, and going directly to the Jobs sections of their websites.
