tiny bubbles filled with clear fluid. what is it?

Post by waters33 » Mon, 23 Apr 2012 1:44 am

for years i have been having this condition. its like bubbles filled with water and if i squezze them, clear fluid comes out. it is usually on my fingers but can spread to also my palm and even worse, under my nails. it ranges from a really big bubbles, to small tiny bubbles but they are often clustered together.

it has been bothering me all this years and i went to a doctor a few years ago and she just said after you pop it, put "Betadine" (some kind of antiseptic colution)

could it help? what are these bubbles and is there any way i can get rid of them permanently? if not, does it spread to any other part of the body? im scared if somehow i didnt wash my hands properly and i touch my arm for example. would it spread too?

i know i have allergies but im not sure what it is.

Please help :(

Stress can cause it as well. On rare occasions I'll get it to. When it first started happening, I though it was poison Ivy acting up (it's in my blood). But it wasn't. Eventually I found out, at least in my case, it was stress related. last for a couple of days/weeks and then is gone again.

sounds like "hand eczema/dermatitis" and it's difficult to know what the best form of treatment is without knowing how bad it is...

if your hand's always infected, you probably need anti-biotics... if it itches... you probably need some cream...

the list of "treatments" goes on and on... the best thing you can do is to visit a doctor for a workup (blood/patch test, etc), allow the doctor to tell you what to do and adjust your life style accordingly.

whether or not you should pop them (sterile) also depends on your situation...

finally, this condition is not contagious... and although it's unsightly, pompholyx do not magically disappear by rubbing a magic salve on it.

but it CAN spread depending on what you're allergic to... so...

visit a dermatologist and it may get better. good luck!
