We use a cat sitter (Not just cats - she looks after anything furry or with more than 2 legs!) when we travel - 3/4 days up to 2-3 weeks. Cost is about $70 sgd a day for two, one hour, visits per day but if it's a longer timeframe, you'll be able to negotiate.
She comes highly recommended; trustworthy and reliable, and my cats really like her.
Let me know if you want further details.
BillyB - Can I please have the details of the sitter you are recommending?
I've sent you a private message containing the details.

Just joined as just relocated to Sing from Shanghai. Am also in need of a pet sitter for my labrador in my home as he cannot stay in kennels. I tried to respond to BillyB re: his pet sitter info, however the forum won't let me request a PM due to having just joined. If you will please provide their info, I'd be grateful, thanks!

Hi,
I strongly advise, never send your dogs to boarding farm. Your dogs may return with ticks and fleas. Thats what happened to mine. It was living hell. Had to call in the pest contol guys. I can recommend a friend who does pet-sitting. He's a volunteer at SPCA. He does pet-sitting and other services like bringing the dogs to the vet or grooming. Can call him at 90552158

Really appreciate the advice, and we're not able to kennel due to slight animal-aggression issues, anyway. Not sure we'll have a live-in housekeeper, so am really in need of a trustworthy service that will stay in my home when we holiday. Kind thanks!
