Post by nithy2mydream » Tue, 17 Apr 2012 6:41 pm

Hi,
2008 i came to singapore. i am a P2 EP holder.2010 i applied PR for me and it got rejected after 3 months and it didnt mention when can i re apply again. after 1 year from the PR rejection i applied again in 2011 july. i applied for me and my wife. i got married 1.5 years ago. my wife came to singapore oct 2010 and got job in july 2011. My wife is under dependant pass now. But 2 weeks back our PR application got rejected(after 8 months), it doesnt state the reason or when can i we apply again. I am working in government company in contract basis. is there any possiblity to get approved if i re apply again? please advice.

Thanks

If it was rejected once and they didn't give you an indication of when to reapply, then it was there way of telling you not to bother. Now it looks like you have gotten married in order to maybe help your cause. As you can see, it doesn't. With you nick, can I assume you are from the sub-continent? You have been here long enough to know what's happening on the ground, right? So it shouldn't come as any surprise. No PEP, no P1. no hope.

Wait for 2 years, improve yourself in career, job. Try contributing to SG apart from Salary and see if your wife can also contribute. If you are sure that you will settle down in SG, then apply.

If you can do the above and if you try after 2 years, you would have a decent chance.

Also, depends on what are the policies at that time.

You never said anything about your work and also about your education.

Less than 3 years in SG, < 3 Tax returns, Married for less than 2 years, Your Origin - All this would have gone against you. (my 2 cents)

Well, it seems that you're not any more special than the hundreds of IT masters holders from India overwhelming the ICA with applications.

Sorry, buddy, but you're not the flavor of the month. Try again several paygrades, several political climate changes, several income tax returns later.
