Brilliant! You could make so many comments about this, but sometimes it's better to just enjoy the show. The guy sat next to the auntie looks like he is about to have a nervous breakdown.......the lynx wrote:When the worst of both worlds collide in MRT
Middle-aged auntie versus ah lian over a MRT seat. Who will win, or rather, who will lose more face than the other?

I know eh? Way to miss the point, too. The seats are reserved for folks who are less steady on their feet, not folks who are older in years than you. I don't get why the woman didn't just turn her back...that's what I would have done "here aunty, photograph my best side"Vaucluse wrote:Entitlement much, old hag?

OK guys, it is not easy so this is the best subtitles I can get (in its original Singlish and expletives)
A: Auntie, B: Girl (Ah Lian would be inappropriate, on second thought)
***
A: So (chinese phrase)! Most probably you're from China!
B: (ignore) (distracts herself with her phone)
A: Asked you for the seat! Kept standing for how many hours ah! So rude ah!
B: (dagger stare)
A: (motions to fellow passengers on how rude the girl is and tapped hard on the sign to show how she is entitled to the priority seat)
B: (must be thinking "Why the hell do I have to deal with this?!") Say enough already ah?!
A: (inaudible) ...ask you to punch me?!
(mixed exchanges)
B: I let you sit. You say summore for what ah?! Huh?!
A: I not happy when you stand (stammers in anger) while I sit!
B: Keep talking for what?! Huh?!
A: (gestures) Not happy that you make me stand until make me have to request (stammers) I I I want to (can't make it out)
B: You go la!
(skip)
A proceeds to prep her phone to take B's photo. B pushes down the phone.
B: Please ah don't take my photo, thank you.
A: I will be publish in TODAY's paper and let people see what type of people you are!
B: (repeats) Please don't take my photo, thank you. You want to say, go and say, so easy, no need to take my photo.
A: (jabs) (stammers)Why no need?! Let people see! (stammers) Because because...(inaudible)
B: I let you sit, and you say so much for what?!
C: Please shaddap lah! (gonna hit nervous breakdown)
(skip)
A still tries to take photo. B pushes down the phone again.
B: Please don't take my photo, you CCB*... Please.don't.take.my.photo! Why you must take photo!?
A: I'm not happy that you make me....
B: (retorts) Then take photo for what?!
A: To let the publish (must be the tongue slip) know what type of lady you are!
B: Then no need to take my photo! Hello?
(silence)
A tries one more time (Geez can't the woman just quit it?). B taps down the phone with finger and points.
B: Eh enough! (holds her death stare)
A: Why you stare at me?!
B: Why take my photo?!
(and the same exchanges repeat over and over)
B: You want to complain, go complain. Don't take my photo.
A: (sage-like mode, gesturing everyone in the train) Anybody who is here who can see this, I am... (bla bla bla) My leg... (bla bla bla)
Then the loud screech of the train muffles the rest of the exchanges until B gets down at a station, leaving A behind.

Nice translation job, thanks.
Umm, I don't know what CB or CCB means . . .
. . . I live a sheltered life.
I think the entitled hag can count herself lucky the girl didn't respond in kind - I think most people would have told her off for being a bitch.
Oi, some lucky man is married to that thing
