hi All

I have experience in architecture prior to completing my master of architecture at the university of melbourne. after which, i had 3 years of working experience in urban design, 2.5 years in local government in melbourne and 0.5 year in private industry. i am looking for working experience in singapore. I had tried Surbana and the URA, which seemed to be very passive in their response. what's the market like for someone with my experience in singapore? your advice is greatly appreciated!

thank you
B

Its tough at the moment, you are better off trying neighbouring countries like Malaysia, where the entry/work visa requirement are not so strict and you can have a better standard of living for the pittance they normally pay young architects for "work experiences" which is a pc term for free or slave labour.

Also because of the mickey mouse nature of neighbouring countries you quickly get chucked into the deep end of projects which is a good eye-opener.
