Quick question on ep for all you experienced people!

Post by harlyd » Mon, 09 Apr 2012 8:12 am

So I came here on a tourist pass and the validity of that pass runs out on Weds. I have been hired by a company and the EP has been approved (so says MOM website) I was also told that you need to have a valid visa to pick up the EP and I have doubts that this will be done by Weds. Do I need to apply for the extension of short term visit pass?

Thanks for any and all help!

If it's approved, you should be able to conclude formalities in two day. Get the employer to print out the AIP this morning, and proceed from there. The only glitch may be getting the medical out of the way "if required". A lot of times you only have to sign a statement of health, depending on your country of origin. If you do not need the medical, you should be able to sort it in time. Otherwise, you might have to get an extension (which I believe you can do online). If you want to be safe, do it anyway today. Cheap for the safety/security it would provide.....
