Hi,
I am an IT professional working with IT firm in Pune/India. I want to work in Singapore.
Can I directly apply for Singapore PR thru some immigration firms? Which firm is the best one for this in India?
Please guide.
Thanks,
Nilesh

To work in Singapore you need a work pass/employment pass. You don't need PR.

PR allows you to permanently reside in Singapore, but you don't qualify:
'
Apply for Permanent Residence
Eligibility
The following categories of foreigners are eligible to apply for permanent residence:
(a) Spouse and unmarried children (below 21 years old) of a Singapore Citizen
(SC)/SingaporePermanent Resident (SPR)
(b) Aged Parents of a SC
(c) P, Q or S work pass holders
(d) Investors/Entrepreneurs'

Thanks for the reply.
Few more queries:
1. Can I get employment pass for Singapore while I am working in India
2. Can immigration firms be fine to opt for empl. pass and if yes please guide some trust worthy names in India.
Many Thanks,
Nilesh

NO.

Only your Singapore Employer can apply for your employment pass. So you have to find some company who would be willing to hire you. AND that company needs to justify exactly WHY they need to hire a foreigner when there are plenty of local citizens/Pr to hire. You cannot apply for an employment pass on your own as all employment passes are based on employer sponsor, with the exception of the PEP (if you are/have been drawing in excess of $8000 SGD/mo then you can apply on your own.
Many Thanks,
Nilesh
