Dear Readers,
Looking for your good advice on the below, this being my very 1st post!
Here is the situation:
- after 2+ years working in Singapore I ended my employment contract and the company terminated my EP
- from the termination date I read that I have 30 days authorisation to stay in Singapore
- meanwhile I am in the process of setting up a subsidiary in Singapore of a foreign company
- once the company will be registered I will need to apply for an EP through the newly set up entity
What is the best practice towards ICA and MOM for me to stay in Singapore during the incorporation and after, once employed by the new company?
Hope all is clearly explained.
Thanks

You will have to leave the country, preferably for a minimum of 5 days. If you are from an Asian country you will have to return home and then return, unless that has changed in the past month or so.

Depends on where you are from. If your use the search function (above and to the right of here), you'll see that this has been discussed extensively elsewhere on the forum.
Be careful what you wish for

This will depend on your country of origin. As you said 'again', I am assuming that you are from a select group of western countries who have an agreement with Singapore with regard to extended social visit passes. Be careful as if you only leave for 5 days and return, Immigration isn't stupid and will see that you are only using it for job hunting purposes. They will most likely give you 90 days, but I would be surprised if they repeat that process at the end of that 90 day period.
