Happy Hour venue

Post by kappa15 » Thu, 29 Mar 2012 4:09 pm

Good evening,

Used to have drinks at those happy hour venue with one for one beer, light snack and band playing many years ago..wondering whether you can still find these in Singapore? Please recommend if you know of any.
Also those high tea with fashion show at hotels a bit of nostalgia for me.
Regards

Hey,

I just started work in the Raffles Place area and was also looking for some good happy hour deals to chill with friends and colleagues after work.

So far I've heard of a pretty good deal at Sauce at the Esplanade - it's a pretty new bar/restaurant concept. Apparently they have $5 beers and if you add another $5, you can order sides like chicken quesadillas & lunch meat chips.

I'm not really a beer person though but my interest was piqued the other time I went there and the waiter told me about their Cocktail Magic Thursdays for ladies - seems like it's a pretty good thing to be a lady in Singapore whatwith so many deals targeted at us haha. The promotion works such that I can order 2 cocktails and get a 3rd free + a complimentary serving of truffle fries. The prices of the cocktails are pretty decent and my friend says they're really nice so I guess I'll try it out sometime real soon :)

Anyone else know any other deals?

Besides beer, are you into wines?

Hi TinyV,

Thanks for your suggestion. I will check out the sauce at Esplanade.
Somehow a chill glass of beer or two is good for singapore hot and humid weather. I am into wine too! but over here I drink 1/2 bottle nightly and it is relatively cheap..Regards

WineMarket.sg located at East Coast Seafood Centre is a nice place to have wine, fresh brew boutique beers and some pizza or finger food! :)
