Heard there has been quite the ruckus with MC and OneFC and now the WBO Boxing is going to be held here! Nice!
Also, there are a hell of a lot of gyms in Singapore, which is great for variety but a headache when choosing one. I heard from a few of my travel friendly friends a few years ago that this country hadnt matured yet when it came to MMA but thats not what i am seeing.
Heard on the grapevine that another gym (i think it is Top Gym Singapore) is running a campaign to search for and sponsor young guns and train them up to be the next Couture (or Gina Carano for u ladies.) Now that is something. Not sure about a website but they are on FB if anyone is interested.
But all in all, entertainment value here is getting better. Props!!

So I was looking for some ways to get rid of my money after payday, u know, that old chore. And came across something rather interesting. Apparently, MMA is getting hot enough that it's got its own section on this online fashion Singapore based store. It is a pretty massive shop (love the shooooes) but still, to find equipment on a fashion store? Must really be getting hot in Singapore. If I see any fella carrying MMA gloves around, I am going to be very friendly

^^ That would be me
(I have the gloves Although I dont have the physique lol).
OneFC is being held in KL in late June I guess. I am thinking of going there but the thought of going so far just to watch Babalu (Renata Babalu Sobral, former Strikeforce champ) and a namesake Gracie isnt very appealing. Although the event will be featuring lot of Asian talent. UFC has held only one event thus far in SEA (and it was in Bangkok I guess) but the UFC *might* come to Singapore next year. You can get some good MMA merchandise from thatmmashop but the prices when compared to those of US based MMA shops (like mmawarehouse, sherdog shop etc) are much higher (I'll be getting my Shogun Tee from the US
). Sometime next year I plan to go to Japan to attend a K1 Kickboxing event.
