Bubble/Growth on the face

Post by Gummybears » Tue, 27 Mar 2012 4:31 pm

SOS!
I don't really know how to explain it. But there's this growth, like a tumour that is on my cheek. I am 17 this year, consulted a doctor at a clinic but was told that it could only be removed surgically through plastic surgery. Because of this growth, I had to put make up whenever I go out just to conceal that growth. I'm sick of it, any good recommendations to where I can remove it in Singapore ? ): :(

i also have a minor cyst at my jaw. asked alot doctors they said if operate could hurt the nerves etc around it.

dont know how big or deep your cyst is, probably the clinic asked u to go plastic doctor because they forsee a dent after removal.

cheapest option is to go polyclinic get referral letter. they may refer u to general surgery or ENT.. not sure. tell them your concerns about the dent and cancer screen. then if they can confirm non cancerous, ask if can refer u to plastic dept. this way much cheaper than going direct to any plastic doc as private patient.

Thanks. I asked the doctor, the doctor said that it was non cancerous just that in order to remove it sucessfully , I had to go to a plastic surgeon because if I were to go to hospitals to actually get it removed, the scar might be very obvious so he recommended me to go plastic surgery so that I can remove it with minimal scar. But I am just concerned how much will it cost?
