Apply for SPR - under Spouse or PTS?- Pls help

Postby ks.kps82 » Sun, 25 Mar 2012 7:17 pm

HI Expats Experts
need your suggestions!
I am on S Pass and my spouse is on SPR.
Applied SPR through Spouse Scheme in Aug 2009 and obviously got rejected with waiting period 2 years which just ended in December!

I am employed in Singapore since July 2010.

Can you pls suggest how should i apply SPR this time - under spouse scheme or independently under PTS scheme ?

other info!
origin - belong to the demographics that got increased by 2%
Married since June 2009

I know my chances are slim given the recent restrictions for Indian PR Approvals, but still want to try.

Thanks Guys! :)

Under spouse sponsor will be easier. Either way you have nothing to lose. You lose your job , you go under LTSVP

You didn't tell what your spouse's salary is and whether you are a male or female. Your spouse will have to prove that he/she can support you if you are applying under family ties and If you are a male, you will have NS implications.

Dont even try applying alone. Indian + S Pass = Sure Rejection.

No didn't misread but his post is very unclear. he's says either way, which I'm assuming he means either PTS or Spouse, you lose job you revert to LTSVP.

His wife is a PR already. If he applies and is accepted he's a PR.

If he applies and is rejected he remains on his S pass

If he loses his job before getting PR, he goes on LTVP based on wifes PR status.

Either way, he's got nothing to lose, so why not apply.

At least that's the way it reads to me.
