Proper English Breakfast in or around Orchard?

Post by pattyofurniture » Sat, 17 Mar 2012 4:02 pm

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Sometimes you just get the urge to skip the usual light bfast and dig into something substantial...

@curiousgeorge Thanks for the great recommendation - just got back from there and am quite content!

Note for anyone else looking to try, make sure you get a reservation. I got in only because I went alone and sat at their bfast bar - all of the tables were booked.

For a good brekkie, try one of the following:

(1) Spruce at Phoenix Park (I luuuurve their Crab Cake Eggs Benedict! :D )

(2) Graze at Rochester Park

(3) Cafe Epicurious at Robertson Quay

(4) Group Therapy Cafe at Duxton Road

(5) Riders Cafe at the Bukit Timah Saddle Club

(6) Kith Cafe at the Watermark @ Robertson Quay

(7) The Plain Cafe at Craig Road

(8) Choupinette at Bukit Timah Road

Personally, I'm only okay with Wild Honey. Their food isn't half bad, but I feel they overcook their eggs for their (signature) eggs benedict. It's a personal thing... I'm an eggs benedict connoisseur. 8-)

I've been to (1) and (4). I love their breakfast menu! But it can get quite packed so I would go early :)

Thanks mummy mantras and Andy!

I will try Spruce at Phoenix park tomorrow. Nothing beats a good bfast on a Sunday morning.
:D

I like Spruce for the food but not so much for the ambiance.
