I don't understand the relevance of the question, what are you concerns over the situation, Serviced Apartments are just like a condo with services, if you get a school place and pay the fees, then why should it matter whether you live in a Serviced Apartment or not?

Am I missing something? I have at one point lived in a Serviced Apartment and also, I have had kids in school, not at the same time, but can't see any issue.

If you're thinking about the school bus issue, it shouldn't be a problem. Loads of kids have started out in Serviced Apartments before moving to a house or a condo. Chances are that the bus will have picked up there before and the driver may suggest a pick up point.

And if you move and they need a different bus, the school will sort out which bus they send.

If you're just thinking about choosing a school and proximity to school then I think you have to get on with it for the few weeks or months that you're at the apartment and look for a condo/house nearer to school. Chances are that the Serviced Apartment may not be as convenient for school, but it will only be a temporary situation.
