Loud noise on the East Coast

Anyone else hear it? About 10.20pm on Tuesday. Sounded like a small canon going off. Weird - I don't think I've ever heard anything like that around here before.

Where on East Coast? Car/Truck/Lorry backfire maybe? I hear them all the time right by ECP.

I hear them occasionally, it's possibly a car, possibly someone dropping something really big, maybe even a canon going off.

Siglap/Marine Parade Rd - it was really loud, like a gun or something bigger going off.

Nothing about it on the news today - maybe it was just a car backfiring, but I remember once a guy falling to his death in our condo from a high floor and landing on a wooden platform at the bottom and it was so loud that people in the next block said it woke them up. When that happened there was nothing about it on the news or in the papers so I was a bit worried last night that something like that might have happened again. But no news on the condo 'grapevine' today.............fortunately.
