I am assuming your daughter is living in Malaysia, correct?

As WP holders you are not allowed to have any dependents in Singapore while on a WP. The fact that both you and your husband are here on WP rather than EP's suggests that your mother/inlaws are caring for the child.

There is no way that the child will be allowed to attend school in Singapore unless at least ONE of you are on an EP. Even then, because one is still on a WP, it may well be difficult.

No, she is staying with me coz no one can take care of her. Each time she hv to stay to the max then my mother will bring her back to msia for a month and Rtn to singapore. FYI my whole family is here holding SC.i did bring this issue in my appeal letter that no one can take care of my girl while I'm working in sg but still got rejected. Anymore advice? No other option I can take?

So, the child is, in fact, doing multiple visa runs so as to keep here her? SVP or LTVP visas? If SVP then I don't hold much hope.

As far as you working here and not having any way to take care of the child, the ICA doesn't care about that at all. It's you wanting to work in Singapore, not Singapore wanting you to work here. Therefore the problem is yours and not theirs. It's rough, but if you worked in your own country than there wouldn't be too much of a problem would it?

My bad. I forgot your spouse was on a WP. That's what happens when doing several things at once. Forgot to refresh my train of thought. No, LTVP is not eligible for the child due to both of you being on WP's. Sorry.

sunday, isn't there some way another family member can "sponsor" the child?

acjc: there are not enough pre-school spots in singapore for singaporean kids... are you applying to put her in an affordable school?

taxico,

There might be, but frankly, I'm unaware of it. They might try to go through their PM (the rest of the family who are SCs), but I wouldn't hold my breath. As I said, the problem is of their own making, not the Singapore government's. If they held P1 EPs it would be a different kettle of fish possibly, with with WPs? I don't see it happening.
