Where to buy ALL our baby items from in Singapore??

Post by taleske » Mon, 05 Mar 2012 10:20 am

Hi there

My husband and I have just moved here from Australia a week ago. I am 20 weeks pregnant with twins and we have just found an apartment to move into this weekend in River Valley. I want to be prepared as early as possible as i know that twins can come very early and in my last trimester probably won't want to be going on huge shopping trips!!

We need to get everything for the babies nursery. I have noticed a lot of brands that we are used to in AUS aren't over here. Can anyone recommend a big store that has lots of choices and where we should be able to buy everything we need for the babies??

Thank you :-)

Mothercare,

Bigger store is in Harbourfront

Mother Works.

You have an outlet for this one near to you in Great World City

There are also some more local shops (but with standard brands as well) like Baby's Hyperstore, Kaki Bukit Ave 1

Hi,

I second Mothercare. Their flag ship store is the one at HarbourFront. next to VivioCity, NOT in Vivocity.

Mothers Work has lovely stuff but their choices are a little bit less than Mothercare.

Either Baby Kingdom or Baby Hyperstore (both around 5 mins walking distance to each other) at Kaki Bukit has the one of the widest selection of MacClaren strollers nad Maxi Cosi car seats, etc. I think they (which one is it , I can't remember, sorry!) are the main distributors in Singapore as well.

If you own a car or are willing to driver a bit out of the way, you should try Baby Town in Toa Payoh

There are also two "Baby supermarts" in upper Bedok/East Coast, I can't really put the name on them again but they are both on the same street in an industrial estate. They do offer slightly cheaper prices but they do not have a particularly large selection. They did not have the bugaboo stroller that we were looking for unfortunately.

Also, Takashimaya do a baby fair regularly with discounted items. Everything here always goes on sale one or another, doesn't it ? It feels like you are actually being ripped off when you pay something without a special credit card with a 15% off or a special sale or "after discount" price.

Good luck !
^-^
