Priceline Singapore

Post by jpatokal » Fri, 03 Dec 2004 1:04 am

Has anybody here ever had any luck with Priceline Singapore? I just did a whole bunch of bids for hotels in Singapore (using http://biddingfortravel.com's forums as a guideline), and no luck at all, even when I escalated my bids up to a steep S$170+++ (the third plus being Priceline's S$17 booking fee) -- although naturally I was careful to aim only at Marina Bay's cluster of luxury hotels (Conrad, Swissotel and Pan Pac being the usually reported trio).

Then I surf onto Conrad's website and score a room for S$180++, which actually comes out to less than if my last Priceline bid had succeeded... and unlike Priceline now I get flight miles, fruit baskets, yadda yadda too.

Anecdotal evidence indicates that Priceline US seems to work a lot better than the Sg version... but you need a US billing address & credit card to use it. :x
